Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for the Alagos Discord bot
Effective: October 11, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Jason Lagasse, Indiana, United States (“we”, “us”), who run Alagos. They apply to anyone who adds Alagos to a Discord server or uses it. By doing either, you accept them. If you do not, do not add or use Alagos.
The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and is part of these terms.

Alagos is a Discord bot for running gaming leagues, guilds and alliances: events and sign-ups, attendance, rosters and characters, rotations, teams, reports and related tools, with optional modules for particular games.
Alagos depends on Discord. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Discord. If Discord is unavailable, changes how bots work, or restricts Alagos, parts or all of Alagos may stop working; we will try to adapt, but cannot be responsible for what Discord does. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord’s own terms, and nothing here overrides them.
Alagos is not affiliated with the games it supports. It supports games such as DC Dark Legion, but is not made, endorsed or sponsored by their developers or publishers. Game names and content belong to their owners.
You must meet Discord’s minimum age where you live (at least 13). If you are under the age of majority where you live, use Alagos only with a parent’s or guardian’s involvement.
If you accept these terms for a league or other group, you confirm you may act for it, and “you” includes it.
If you add Alagos to a server or run it there, you confirm you are allowed to, and you are responsible for how it is used in that server:
You may not use Alagos to:
And you may not:
We may limit, suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these rules (section 9).
You keep ownership of what you put into Alagos: rosters, event details, banners, feedback and replies (“your content”).
You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, copy, adapt and display your content only to run Alagos for you and the people you share it with. The permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from copies in backups, which expire on their schedule (see the Privacy Policy).
You are responsible for your content: you confirm you have the right to use it, and that it does not break the law or anyone’s rights. We do not review content in advance, but we may remove anything that breaks these terms or that we are required by law to remove.
Banners and links. Uploaded banners are posted in Discord, where anyone given an image’s link may be able to see it. Do not upload anything you would not want seen outside your league.
Copyright complaints. If you believe something posted through Alagos infringes your copyright or other rights, email alagos@nestaron.com with: a description of the work, where the content appears (server and message, or a link), your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised. We will look into it and remove infringing content, and may end access for anyone who infringes repeatedly.
Alagos (its name, the bot, its code and its documentation) belongs to us. We give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable permission to use Alagos under these terms. Nothing else is granted.
Alagos has a free plan with limits, such as how many events may be scheduled at once. We may change what the free plan includes. Where a change takes away something a free server already uses, we will announce it on the Alagos support server in advance where we reasonably can.
Paid plans are not offered yet. Before they are, these terms will gain a section on billing, renewals, cancellation and refunds, including the right of consumers in the EU and UK to cancel within 14 days, and the Privacy Policy will name the payment providers.
We aim to keep Alagos running and working well, but we do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, especially on the free plan. It may be paused for maintenance. We may add, change or remove features.
You can remove Alagos from your server at any time.
We may switch Alagos off for a server, or limit or end someone’s access, if these terms are broken, if continuing would put the service, other servers or their members at risk, or if the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will say why. We may also stop running Alagos altogether, and will announce that on the support server in advance where we can.
What happens to a server’s data afterwards is described in the Privacy Policy: it is deleted 90 days after the bot is removed.
Alagos is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent the law allows. Some places do not allow warranties to be excluded, so this may not fully apply to you.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Alagos or from being unable to use it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for Alagos in the 12 months before the claim (nothing, on the free plan). Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
When these terms change, the date at the top changes, the change is listed below, and significant changes are announced on the Alagos support server before they take effect. If you keep using Alagos after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms; if you do not accept them, remove Alagos. Every earlier version stays visible in this page’s public history.
Changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
